Alma Rosa Moreno spoke on her experience with Mexico’s state-owned petroleum company as advisor to the director general of Pemex at a public lecture. She also spoke at an Institute of the America's talk on tax policy in Mexico. During her stay, she guest lectured in classes and met with student leaders, local Mexico and San Diego leaders, and community groups.
Biography
Alma Rosa Moreno is the former ambassador of Mexico to the United Kingdom under President Vicente Fox's administration. She also served as financial adviser to Grupo Financiero Banorte, one of Mexico's largest and oldest financial institutions. She is currently an adviser to the director general of Mexico’s petroleum company PEMEX. Previous positions she has held include director general of income policy, advisor to the secretary of the treasury, and president of the Tax Administration System of Mexico's Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit. She holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico and a master's degree from Colegio de Mexico. She completed her doctoral studies at New York University.
